The Mikva Project
Over 50,000 Israeli women sent their husbands to serve on the front lines and were left to solo parent their children and run the household on their own for as long as 6 months.

The emotional, logistical, and financial strain on these women is enormous, but for many women the most vulnerable time, where all the difficulty comes out is their monthly visit to the mikva, after which they come back to an empty house, with their husband away serving in the army.

The emotional, logistical, and financial strain on these women is enormous, but for many women the most vulnerable time, where all the difficulty comes out is their monthly visit to the mikva, after which they come back to an empty house, with their husband away serving in the army.

Multiple rabbis and rebbetzins have told us that their evenings are spent fielding tearful phone calls from reservists' wives in the mikvas.

Our People lobbied the IDF Chief Rabbinate to hold a training guiding army rabbis on the laws and army directives surrounding this delicate issue.

Moreover, we have worked closely with dozens of mikvas throughout Israel, from the Golan Heights to Eilat, distributing pampering selfcare packages to these brave women at the mikvas, raising their spirits, supporting them in their commitment to this crucial mitzva and making them feel seen and supported. Thank You Hashem and The Teaneck Mimkva have been generous partners without whom this project could not have happened
