We provide assistance in 3 areas – medical equipment for IDF and civilian hospitals, assisting families hosting families evacuated from the war zone, and addressing emergency needs of civilians affected areas
  • MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND TACTICAL GEAR
    Equiped with exact official purchasing lists, we secure medical equipment and tactical gear for army units and community defence teams throughout Israel.
    You support will go towards purchasing exactly what is needed in the moment. If you prefer donating a shipment of equipment to be sent to Israel from abroad, we will help you take care of customs clearance and getting it to the point of contact in Israel. Please email leah@ourpeople.org.il
  • FOOD PACKAGES AND FOOD CARDS FOR EVACUEES AND RESIDENTS OF THE SOUTH
    Over 200,000 people have been forced to leave their homes! Although the government provides some (not all!) evacuees with food and board, other needs go unmet. Hundreds of thousands of others have stayed back in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot and Ofakim without the ability to evacuate and with limited options for employment. We are distributing thousands of food boxes and food cards to help families put food on the table

  • URGENT ASSISTANCE TO SOLDIERS AND FAMILIES
    Every day, we receive many requests for urgently needed equipment for soldiers and affected families. From community washing machines and dryers for evacuated families in hotels and soldiers on army bases, to tents, heaters and cooking gear for soldiers in the middle of nowhere. Additionally, many families face unexpected emergency needs, which we try to address.

1,000 PEOPLE RECEIVED ASSISTANCE... AND HUNDREDS MORE NEED IT!
Today we visited the Nehalim School - it contains evacuees from Kiryat Shmona, Netivot, Ofakim, Ashkelon. Each family received a card from us for purchases and products.
In recent weeks, we have donated dozens of washers, dryers, heaters, and other electrical appliances to evacuated families in hotels and hostels. Beyond the basic necessity of doing their laundry or heating up their rooms, these families have gained a sense of home and control over their situation. They can finally look after their own needs and start functioning like a family.
One of our most touching projects has a Bar Mitzva for a boy from a one-parent family from Netivot. You have never seen joy until you saww 100 perfect strangers dancing their shoes off to make this boy happy! The mother cares for several special needs children and elderly parents and has a hard time under ordinary circumstances. Finding themselves displaced in Jerusalem, a bar mitzva party was the farthest thing from their minds, so we were happy to help and make a community celebration for the boy with over 100 guests and joy like you've never seen!
